Step 01
Connect your agent
Sign up free at codata.io and copy your MCP address from onboarding. Add it once to Claude, Cursor, Codex, Copilot, ChatGPT, Lovable or Replit, then log in to Codata IO when prompted:
https://mcp.codata.io/mcp
Step 02
Paste the starter prompt
Starter prompt · what to build
Build a booking page for [business, e.g. a mobile dog groomer]. Use the codata MCP server for the backend. Create tables for services (name, duration, price), availability (weekday, start time, end time) and bookings (customer name, email, phone, service, date, time, status). Customer side: pick a service, see only free slots, book, see a confirmation screen and get a confirmation email sent through Codata IO. Owner side: a page behind Codata IO sign-in listing upcoming bookings with buttons to confirm or cancel. Prevent double-booking the same slot.
Design layer · keep it in the same prompt
DESIGN (follow exactly) Style: warm and trustworthy, like a boutique service; one accent color for the selected slot and the main button. Customer flow in 3 steps with a step indicator: 1 Choose a service (cards with name, duration, price), 2 Pick a time (a date strip, then a grid of time chips; taken slots hidden), 3 Your details (name, email, phone) and Confirm. Confirmation screen: a big check mark, the booking summary and an "Add to calendar" link. Owner page: upcoming bookings grouped by day, with status pills (Pending, Confirmed, Cancelled) and Confirm / Cancel buttons. Mobile first: most customers will book from their phone. Colors: off-white background, white cards with soft 1px borders, near-black text, and ONE accent color: [your brand color, e.g. #2F5BFF] for buttons and highlights only. Type: one clean sans-serif (e.g. Geist or Plus Jakarta Sans), 16px body text, generous line spacing. Use Tailwind with shadcn/ui components. Add empty, loading and error states, and make every tap target at least 44px. Build the main screen first with these exact specs and show it to me. After my OK, connect it to Codata IO.
Step 03
Add one feature at a time
Follow-up · calendar
Add a calendar view (week and month) of bookings on the owner page, colored by status.
Follow-up · reminders
Set up a Codata IO scheduled task that emails each customer a reminder 24 hours before their booking.
Step 04
Go live
Launch prompt
Make a test booking end to end and confirm the email arrives. Check the owner page needs sign-in and no keys are in the code. Then deploy on Codata IO hosting and, if I'm on Builder or Pro, connect [book.yourbusiness.com].
